It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bill Brown, on Monday, August 16, 2021, in Barrie Ontario, in his 73rd year. After a long but courageous battle with cancer, Bill passed away at Simcoe Hospice. Beloved husband to Mary (McGrath) of 53 years. Cherished father to his three daughters Deanna Fletcher (Andrew), Marilyn Purchase (Kevin) and Sheila Catling (Paul). Bill also leaves behind his five grandchildren Aiden,Jenna,Brock,Olivia and Morgan. Beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend that will be dearly missed by many.
As we each mourn the loss of Bill Brown, we remember the wonderful days and moments that we were able to share with him. Whether you knew him for a short time or a long time, you saw how special of a person he was and how he positively impacted so many lives, just with his presence.
Bill was a quiet man who was quick to smile and always willing to lend a hand where needed. He loved watching his Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays on a regular basis. He made countless trips with his dear friends to the hunt camp in Huntsville and spent as much time as he could watching his grandkids in their respective sports.
Family and friends may join the Celebration of Life at 2 pm on Saturday September 25th. at the Innisfil Community Church, 1571 Innisfil Beach Road, Innisfil, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Simcoe Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
