Posted on: Saturday, February 8, 2025I had the pleasure of meeting Vera at the Waterford retirement home in Barrie when I worked there. She was always such a sweet and kind lady who was full of smiles. I admired her end suite as well, she had beautiful taste. She will be deeply missed. My condolences to the Huston family! Xo

Posted on: Sunday, February 9, 2025I am sorry for your loss.
I personally don’t really remember meeting Vera, I was a little girl, when she and Cy were friends with my parents, Bev and Horace Beaudoin.
They had built cottages next door to each other in Quebec near Hawkesbury. Our family still uses the cottage Cy and my dad built as ours was crushed by a tree, and Vera let us buy theirs.
Vera and Bev spent many summers together with all the kids, 3 of Vera’s and 5 of ours. I remember hearing stories about those summers, and the close connections of some of the children.
Thank you Vera for having been a bright light in our family, which continues to shine through the cottage.
My heart is with your family.
