Rosalind Jane Richardson, age 80, passed peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital on Wednesday March 19, 2025.
Born in Strathroy, Rosalind will be remembered as a beloved wife of Bruce Richardson for 64 years, loving mother of Darcy and Darlyn Richardson, and as “Nana” to her grandchildren, Alexander, Lexie, Emily and Erica.
Her grandchildren will fondly remember her lemon meringue pie, and summer afternoons spent playing solitaire and splitting a diet coke, a special treat from Nana. Rosalind and Bruce always made her grandchildren feel special, and were significantly supportive in giving care of their grandchildren, baking treats, playing games, and ensuring they got to school and to various activities.
Rosalind is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Ruth Elliot, Richard Pane, Ronald Pane, and Rosemary Munn as well as her sister in-law Marilyn Whiting.
Rosalind’s family extends a special thank you to the staff at Royal Victoria Hospital, as well as the VONs and PSW ladies who cared for her.
There will be no visitation or service, a private celebration will be taking place later in the spring.
