Robert George Marshall
August 1, 1940 to February 24, 2021
Robert George Marshall, P. Eng. passed away in Barrie, Ontario, in his 80th year, following complications from brain surgery and a heart condition.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth, and children Ronald (Fermina) and Laura (Rodney). He was the proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Kristy (Bradley), Phillip (Vanessa), Kassandra (Brendan), Thomas, Nikki and Zane and the amazing great grandfather to Skylar and Carter. He was predeceased by his parents William Marshall and Lily French.
Robert Marshall graduated from Ryerson university to become an Electrical engineer. He and his wife owned and operated Marstech Testing Laboratory for 30 years. He enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, wine tasting, travelling to different casinos, cracking jokes, spending his winters in warmer areas like Florida and spending time with his family.
Thank you to friends and family for all of your condolences. Thank you to the staff who cared for him at the Toronto Western hospital and the Royal Victoria Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be determined, depending on the state of covid19. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army at https://salvationarmy.ca/donations/

A part of my heart died with Bob. The wonderful memories of the times we all shared will be with me forever. Bob will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered.

Posted on: Friday, March 5, 2021Our hearts are saddened at Bob’s departure but our memories of this special man will last forever.
Bob, with his unique dry humor, brought joy to all those he met … be it in Toronto, Detroit, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, San Diego, Zihuatanejo Mexico, Can-Am games or even on a cruise ship in the Pacific, we always looked forward to and enjoyed his company.
There is a common saying, “Feel the electricity in the air!”, even though Bob has departed this physical world … he will in his humorous and mischievous way, remind us of his lasting presence each time we touch something on a dry day and get that little electrical spark.
Love you Bob, Fritz and Jeannine

Growing up and listening to Uncle Bobby jamming on his Gibson and playing games of pool and shuffle board where he always, and I don’t know how, had the patience to play while we played by anything but the rules, will be memories that I will always hold on to. Love ya Uncle Bobby!

Posted on: Saturday, March 6, 2021Uncle Bobby – you will be greatly missed, and my condolences to the whole entire family. We will miss your cheerful and positive disposition and the smile that never left your face. There are so many memories that will never be forgotten – your home in Nashville was full of love and in particular was a child’s dream. My brothers and I loved visiting over the many Christmases – from the hot tub, shuffle board table, arcade and video games to the full scale snooker table; there was never a quiet moment and no shortage of family enjoyment over the years. We are all sharing in your sadness as we remember our Uncle Bobby.

Posted on: Saturday, March 6, 2021Bobbie…we will miss you! Memories just keep flooding back, guitar jamming with Don in Caledon East, dancing from room to room in that large home, inventing and playing games, “corner on corn”, “shake and bowl”, ko-ko kangaroo (never made to market but would have out sold Monopoly), scouting for properties where Don and I purchased in Mono before we married and all the moves to different places over the years. It was fun being with you.
To sister Betty and family, sorry for your loss, always in our hearts,
Love Don and Jan
