Passed away on April 8, 2025 at the age of 78 years.  Beloved father of Stephanie, Joshua, Farra, Myriah, Jaquille, and the late Jason (2025).  Cherished grandfather of six, soon to be seven in August.  Dear brother to Gordy and his wife Pat.

Bob was a passionate bridge player, involved in multiple leagues, where the game brought him joy, purpose, and friendship.  He also enjoyed golf, watching any and all sports, and was an avid reader.  Bob had a deep love for all animals, his cat Skye, long drives, poetry and lighthouses.  He found peace in the quiet outdoors, especially when near water or lakes.

Known for his sharp wit, sense of humour, and his unmistakable stubborn streak, some might say he was a grumpy old man. He shared a close bond with his daughter Farra and her husband Charlie, having recently moved in with them—creating new memories that will be deeply treasured.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 27, 2025 at Perfect SZN Bradford, 100 Dissette St #1, Bradford, ON L3Z 3G8 from 1-4pm .

Bob Kay will always hold a spot in my core memories. He was the classic grumpy dad but definitely had a big heart underneath. Thank you for letting us crazy teenagers take over the house so many times. And those days out on the boat wakeboarding (even though I could never quite get up) are memories I’ll always hold close. I know he’s looking after his newest grandbaby on the other side before they make their arrival. Sending love to the family. xo

We are so thankful for the time we got to know bob at our family gatherings. He was always so kind, knew how to crack a joke and had a high tolerance for our crazy family celebrations (especially Christmas) May he rest in heaven and look upon his beautiful family, our condolences go out to the family. Farra and Charlie truly did so much for Bob and I know there love for him will never be forgotten🤍

Bob was a friend who brought sunny days to my life. He will be remembered and cherished for the brightest and warmest days he brought to the bridge table when all was a blizzard outside. Irreplaceable wit and humor that can never be forgotten and will be deeply missed. Bob was a King. Condolences to all his family and friends.

Our family sends our deepest sympathies. Bob was a very special part of my life and we spent countless time golfing, playing cribbage, and complaining about work! He was incredibly smart and loved his amazing family dearly. He was very proud of all of his children and I feel very lucky to have been able to call him a dear friend.

Miss you buddy. Rest in peace.

    TJ and family.
