It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Phyllis Cook on August 22, 2024. Beloved wife of Rae Cook, Phyllis was a devoted mother to Marc Reynolds (Joan), Krista Reynolds (Dave Walton), and Jennifer Reynolds-Cook. She was the cherished grandmother of Taylor (Jason), Jordan, Nathaniel, Paige, and Kurtis, and a proud great-grandmother “GG” of three. Phyllis is also survived by her dear sister, Debbie Excel (Rob). She was predeceased by her first husband, Gary Reynolds; her son, Jay Cook; and her parents, Elmer and Leona Minnikin.

Phyllis was not only a dedicated business owner and bookkeeper but also the heart and soul of her family. Her greatest joy came from gathering her loved ones together, where her warmth and humor shone brightest. The entire family will deeply miss her Friday morning texts, filled with love and her signature "Grandma jokes."

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre www.rvh.on.ca or McMaster Children’s Hospital www.hamiltonhealthsciences.ca/mcmaster-childrens-hospital  in Phyllis's memory.

    Rae, Marc and family.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Phyllis.

I have fond memories of her hosting countless gatherings, too many to count, at your home back in the ’80s. Whether it was for the Rebel ball club or just being invited for a beer with the family. She was our biggest fan. It as very much appreciated.

Phyllis will be missed by so many.

    Don P.

What an amazing woman. Rae I am so sorry for the loss of the love of your life. To her children, to lose your mother is an unimaginable pain, I cannot fathom it. Phyllis was an Angel. A true child from God. I cannot imagine this happened still. I am thinking about all of you. ❤️
