Peter Fergus passed away peacefully in his sleep at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on May 30, 2017 at 5:45 am at the age of 75. A forty-year resident of Zephyr, Uxbridge Township, he is survived by his wife- Irene, sister- Jean, and his four sons- Ian, Cameron (Jennifer), Scott (Juliette), and Allan (Suzie). He will be dearly missed by grand children, Ian Jr (Melanie), Levi (Mollee), Jill, Kirstie-Jean (passed 1994), Liam, Zane, Callum, Kelton, Lochlan, Ailsa, Eowyn, Leighton and great grandchild, Memphis. Peter fought a brave fight against cardiovascular disease and will forever remembered for his positive attitude in the face of adversity. An avid scouter, soccer coach, and camper, his passion for life and Scottish culture lives on in the hearts of his family. In keeping with his wishes, no public funeral will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Family and friends are encouraged to reach out regarding private gathering to be held in Barrie on Sunday, June 4 at 1:00 pm.
