Patty Ann Hirschfeld

Funeral Details: A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date

On January 22, 2024, the world lost a beloved wife, mother, and daughter, Patty Hirschfeld, after a courageous battle with cancer. Patty passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Health Centre surrounded by her loving family.

Patty was the loving wife of Ron and much loved mother of Ronald Jr. (Lindsay), Casey (Tim), Kyley (Justin), and Cody (Val). Proud and loving Nan of Carson and Walker; sister of Roger (Monique), Sylvia (Danny), and Kim (Hank); and daughter of Alice Mills.

Patty was predeceased by her dad Richard “Dick” Elliott, father-in-law Art Hirschfeld, and grandparents Cyril Mills and Audrey Dwinnell.

Patty’s greatest love was her family. She married Ron on August 17, 1985, and they had 45 wonderful years and four beautiful children together.

Patty will be remembered for her selflessness, compassion, and devotion to her family. She was an extraordinary cook and baker, and especially loved to cook for her loved ones. Patty’s laughter could brighten anyone’s day. Patty was also an avid gardener and enjoyed movie nights and listening to classic country music on Sundays.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

She asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Canadian Mental Health Association Simcoe County as mental health is a cause that was near and dear to her heart.

So sorry for your loss. My grandparents and Patsys grandfather knew each other and we had many sleepovers as young girls at Cyril’s house. We went to school together and later our children became friends. Treasure the memories

Although I did not know your mom well, being only your elementary school teacher, based on the wonderful children raised in Patty’s home, who were polite, affectionate and respectful, I know she must have been a great lady. Ron, Casey, Kyley, and Cody I send you my sincere condolences. A light will have gone out in your universe. May good memories and the caring Hands of your heavenly Father meet all your needs at this time.
    Thinking of you fondly.
