Norma Audrey Taylor

Norma Audrey Taylor (nee Turner), age 95, died peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on July 12, 2023.

Norma was born on February 3, 1928 in Toronto. She lived in Toronto, Don Mills, Scarborough (Guildwood) and most recently in Barrie.

Norma was considered the matriarch of the Taylor/Turner clan and loved family gatherings.

She is predeceased by her husband Herb Taylor, daughter Julie Ashdown (Tony), brother Stan Turner and sister Violet Anderson. She is survived by her son John Taylor, daughter-in-law Shelley Taylor (nee Moisey), grandchildren James Taylor (Natasha), Robert Taylor and Shannon Taylor (Connor). She also leaves behind her nephews Gary Turner, David Turner (Barbara) and Steven Turner (Judy).

In Norma’s own words, to her family and many friends, “Just raise a glass of cheer and remember me with a laugh and a smile”.

    I had the pleasure of meeting Norma at Parkview Painters group before covid. She was
    A beautiful and talented artist and had a wicked sense of humour. She will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
