Linda Laye, a cherished wife, mother, nana, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully on Friday May 10, 2024 in Newmarket, Ontario. Born in Middlesbrough, England, Linda is reunited with her parents James and Mary. Linda, the beloved wife of Tim, her partner in life's journey will be missed every day. A loving and devoted mother to Amanda (Andy), and Steven (Alison). Linda’s role as a Nana brought her immense joy, and she embraced it with open arms, treasuring every moment with her grandchildren Noah, Tucker, Mikayla, and Nathan. They were her world, and her love for them knew no bounds. She loved them “to the moon and back, and through the stars to Mars”. Linda leaves behind her siblings Kathryn, Stephen, Leslie, and Sue, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A private ceremony will be held in Linda’s honour to celebrate her life and legacy of love. Though she may be gone from our sight, Linda's spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Linda’s memory to Ronald McDonald House, online at www.rmhccanada.ca

Posted on: Monday, May 20, 2024I’m so sorry for your loss! Linda was always such a pleasure to work with – coming in to a 7am shift and seeing Linda’s smile first thing in the morning as she was putting muffins in the oven to bake was such a great way to start each shift. Sending all my love to you and your family.
