Funeral Details: Private Family Arrangements

Lillian Dallaire, age 98, passed away peacefully at Bradford Valley Long Term Care on October 25, 2024.

Born October 3, 1926, in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, to Hector Boulay and Rose Anna Roy, she was one of nine children.  Lillian moved to Sudbury while a young woman, where she worked and met her husband, Vincent Dallaire (predeceased), and where she would live for the better part of her life.

She leaves behind two children, Colette (Nil) and Robert (Cori), three grandchildren, Jesse, Cristal and David (Rachel), and three great grandchildren, Robert, Thomas and Elina.

Later in life, Lillian became a devout Christian and happily shared her beliefs with anyone willing to listen.  She was very passionate about tending to her garden and enjoyed organic cooking.  She and Vincent owned a cottage for several years and would spend a good part of the summers there, tending to another garden and spending enjoyable days with family.

Lillian had a unique character, with a strong will and forceful conviction.  To her dying day, she remained unapologetically herself.

At her request, she will be cremated, and her ashes will be scattered by family.

Thank you to those involved in Lillian’s care while she was a resident in the Garden Unit of Bradford Valley Long Term Care.

Rest in peace, and may you have the heavenly eternal life you so earnestly believed in.
