Kevin James Purchase

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kevin James Purchase. He was a beloved husband, father and friend.

He leaves behind his loving wife Marilyn Purchase (nee Brown), their daughter Jenna Purchase, and his mother Mary Purchase (nee Stewart). Pre-deceased by his father James Purchase, and his brother Ray Purchase. Kevin was a loving son-in-law to Mary Brown (pre-deceased by Bill Brown), brother in-law to Deanna Fletcher (Andrew), and Sheila Catling (Paul), and uncle to Aiden Fletcher, Brock Fletcher, Olivia Catling and Morgan Catling.

In the last year Kevin fought harder than most people ever should. He battled cancer with everything he had till the end. He took everything with his head high and an attitude that he was going to win this battle, it was just a speed bump in the road.

Kevin always enjoyed his time he got to spend with his family, he loved to go camping and hiking. He loved to be outdoors particularly in Fall, he always said that was his favourite time of year. He also enjoyed going hunting with his father-in-law and the guys.

Throughout the years he was often found at the arena with his daughter. He became known as a “Skating dad”. He was a goofy guy that was there to lend a hand if you needed it. He was a big kid at heart who loved his toys, be it a mustang or a toy car.

In keeping with his wishes, a private cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held, details to be announced shortly. Online memories and condolences may be shared at www.peacefultransition.ca
