Binns, Karen (nee Schofield)
It is with profound sadness that the family of Karen Binns, 61, of Barrie announces her passing on Tuesday, April 1, 2014.
Beloved wife of 41 years to John, inspirational mother to Dorothy (Lyle) and Jennifer (Peter.) Karen is survived by her parents Hugh and Beatrice Schofield, siblings William (Line,) Bruce (Marie,) Bob (Heather,) Kathryn (John,) David (Marlene,) Neil (Anne,) many nieces and nephews, Brother and and Sister-in-Law's.
Karen graduated from Georgian College in 1981 with a diploma in ECE. She enjoyed a long career working with children at Raggedy Ann Nursery School before finding her life's work at Simcoe Community Services working with children who had special needs.
Karen was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. We invite you to all to celebrate her life with us on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11am - Bethel Community Church, Barrie. Visitation at 10am.
In keeping with Karen's bright, happy personality we ask that you dress cheerfully as we celebrate her incredible life.
