It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Elliott, age 71, on Saturday June 24, 2023. He was a devoted father, beloved grandfather, and a dear friend to many.
Born on June 4, 1952, John led a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to his family and community. He was born in Scarborough, ON to John and Ruth Elliott. He graduated from RH King Academy and went on to have a successful career in the pool industry.
John was passionate about his family and friends. He enjoyed sports, and was often found in a hockey arena, on the golf course or at Golden Pizza a local bar and restaurant. His warm smile and friendly demeanor made him a joy to be around, and he had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated.
He is survived by his six daughters Jenny Elliott and Paul Hynes, Kim Elliott and Jake McManiman, Tracy Elliott and Ian Murphy, Jonelle Elliott and Jamey Fehr, Ellee Elliott and Brent Learning, Trish Elliott, his stepson Roman Singh and his adoring grandchildren Jaidyn Hynes, Blayke McManiman, Brooke and Taylor Murphy, Alyssa, Tilynn, Emma and Brody Fehr, Lesley Ann and Jeffrey Learning. He also leaves behind his sister Lynn Sullivan, brother-in-law Rudy Rae and sister-in-law Michelle Elliott as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A cocktail party and casual drop in to celebrate John's life will be held on Sunday September 17, 2023 at The Old Mill (21 Old Mill Rd, Toronto, ON) in the Westminster Room from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering the wonderful life he lived and the lasting impact he had on all of us.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to any charity of your choice. His favourite causes were The Toronto Sick Kids Foundation and any Christmas Cheer charity.
John's legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire us all. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

John and my dad shared many golf games together. They so enjoyed the many pool and house parties at the Elliott house. Our deepest condolences to all the family.
