Jeanne Elda Ratelle (nee Dorion)
February 6, 1944 – February 14, 2023
The family of the late Jeanne Ratelle, of Midhurst, Ontario are saddened to announce her passing on Tuesday February 14, 2023. At the RVRHC Cancer Care Centre in Barrie at the age of 79.
Beloved wife of the late John Ratelle (de. 2021). Cherished mother of Wendy Stephens (Todd) and Darren, and stepmother to Connie Ratelle.
She is predeceased by her siblings Marie, Lorraine, Ronald, Joan, Robert, Lawrence, Doreen, John, and Donald. She is survived by siblings Doris, Debbie, Donna, and Gerald. Loving and proud grandmother to Brett, Samantha, Amanda, Tamara, Shanna, Kaylee, Jake, Jennifer, and Jasmine. Loving to many great grandchildren.
She was an employee at Cooper Tools Factory in Barrie for 20 years. After her time as a factory worker, she devoted her time to children and daycare for over 15 years. Once her daycare kids grew up, her and dad went on to work for Service Master until their retirement.
She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Arrangements for Cremation have taken place at Peaceful Transition, 16-431 Bayview Dr, Barrie. Service and Inurnment will be announced in the Spring.
Many special thanks to the caring staff at RVRHC and Cancer Palliative Ward. Thanks to Dr. Kotchetkov and his cancer team for the exceptional care they have provided to mom over the years.
