James (Jim) George Carson Patton

Patton, James George Carson:  It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Jim with his family by his side on Saturday May 13, 2023, at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket.  Jim Patton in his 89^th year.  Loving father of Linda Richmond (Dave Webster) of Newmarket, Susan Guy (Rob) of Novar and Jimmy Jr. Patton of Aurora.  Special grandfather of Rachel Guy.  Predeceased by his parents Ewart and Verna (nee Carson) Patton and by his siblings Bill, Larry, Nancy and his long-time girlfriend Allie.  Also survived by his sisters Joan and Barb.  He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.  Jim was a passionate truck driver for 60 years.  He was an outstanding athlete who played hockey, baseball, curling, golf and lacrosse.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a long-time member of the Aurora Legion Branch 385.  Sincere thank you to Southlake Hospital and Eagle Terrace Staff for their care, love, and support.   A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July the 8^th, 2023 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Aurora Royal Canadian Legion Branch 385 (105 Industrial Pkwy North, Aurora, Ontario). In lieu of flowers donations may be made directly to the Aurora Legion or a charity of choice.  Arrangements entrusted to Peaceful Transition York and condolences may be forwarded through www.peacefultransition.ca
