Jacqueline Sandra Brown (nee Tucker) passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe on August 30, 2023, at the age of 76 with her family by her side.

Jacqueline (Jackie) is predeceased by her loving parents Ivan and Alberta Tucker, her brother Richard, her sister Susan and niece Christine.  Beloved mother to her cherished daughter, Pamela Sertl and son-in-law Markus, and Grandmother to Konrad and Erik.  Jacqueline will be missed by her sister Denise, her brother Darran, her sister-in-law, Louise and brothers-in-law, Wayne, and Pete.   Jacqueline was a cherished Aunt to Melissa, Rosemary, Ashley, Amanda, Aliesha, Austin, and Kaitlyn, as well as a Great Aunt to Adrienne, Claire, Marcelo, Julius, Milo, Gabriel, and Gideon.

Jacqueline’s biggest accomplishment is her family, sacrificing time and time again to give her daughter the best experiences, future and life possible.  She approached her role as Nanny to her grandchildren with the same commitment and vigor, making sure her two boys knew they were loved unconditionally and whole heartedly.

Jacqueline was an avid reader; she never went a week without some sort of novel in her hand.  On the day’s where she didn’t have a book in hand, she would fill up her time watching sports; she was a faithful supporter of the local Toronto teams of the Maple Leafs, Raptors and Blue Jays, while also eagerly cheered on Bayern Munich and Liverpool FC every weekend a game was on.  Jacqueline looked forward to spending Saturday nights watching UFC with her family, and never missed a match when curling or tennis tournaments were on.

Jacqueline was a proud member of the congregation of the Gentle Shepherd Christian Church in Eliot Lake.

Jacqueline loved to travel and experience new places; whether staying family throughout Ontario, setting up poolside at a southern all-inclusive, or setting sail on many cruises, she had a knack for seeing the best in everywhere she went.  Since retirement she has travelled across Europe to Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Greece, has been to both the Eastern and Western shores of Canada, whale watched in Alaska, and seen many ports of call across Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean.

Jacqueline would tap her toes at many concerts and live theatre venues, enjoying varying styles with some of her favourite singers include Keith Urban, Barbara Streisand, Queen, and Elvis Gospel.

As per Jacquelines wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of her Life will take place on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Professor’s Lake Recreation Centre (1660 North Park Dr, Brampton, ON).
Light refreshments and a light buffet will be available.  All are welcome, come for a short while or stay the duration, we look forward to greeting you there.
If you have photos of Jacqueline, memories from throughout her lifetime that you would like to share with the family, please contact her daughter, Pamela.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Simcoe.
