Ila Diane Ellison

With broken hearts we announce Ila’s peaceful passing at Grove Park Home, Barrie, on December 7.  God wrapped her in His warm embrace and carried her home.  Ila’s legacy of honesty, kindness and love will live in every person whose life she touched.  She was passionate in everything she did from teaching young children, cooking for and hosting elaborate dinner parties at her home, or creating beautiful works of art.  The world is a better place because she was here.

Ila Diane Johnston, beloved wife of the late Jack Alfred Ellison.  Devoted Mom of Debbie Johnston of Port Hope and Barb Diane Sterne (Bob) of British Columbia.  Loving Gammie of Jenny Kuszak (Rob) of Alberta and Steve Levis (Virginia) of British Columbia.  GG (Great-Gammie) of Jackson and Lyla Kuszak.  Sister of Grant Johnston (Donna).  Predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Stella Johnston, brother Harold Johnston, sister-in-law Ethel Johnston and son-in-law Bob Johnston. Ila will be missed by her niece Wendy Chopp (Michael), nephew Michael Johnston (Annie), and numerous friends.
