Herbert William Walker

Herbert William Walker passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023, at RVRHC in Barrie, ON, in the arms of his wife Linda and daughter Cheryl. He was a devoted husband to Linda and a caring father to Cheryl (Ken), John (Christina), and Rick (Chrissy).

Herb was a cherished grandfather to Cameron (Serena) and was preceded in death by his grandson Tyler. He held the role of a great-grandfather to Conrad and Eloise, leaving behind a legacy of love and fond memories.

He was predeceased by his parents John and Gladys, as well as his brother Donald. Herb's memory will be carried on by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and a wide circle of friends whose lives he touched.

A private family celebration will be held to honor Herb's life and the impact he had on those around him. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Elizabeth's, particularly Sharon and Samantha, the Bayshore nursing team, and the dedicated professionals at RVRHC for providing Herb with exceptional care during his time of need. A special acknowledgment goes to Dr. Dheda, Herb's family doctor, for his unwavering support and care.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Herb's memory to the SPCA at www.ontariospca.ca/barrie/. Herb had a deep love for animals, and supporting this cause would be a fitting tribute to his compassionate nature.

Herb's presence, wisdom, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
