FRENCH, GAIL - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gail French on Thursday, December 29th, 2016 at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie. Gail is survived by her loving husband, Bill French and her brother Louie Button. She will be sadly missed by her children Michael (Kerri), Faith (late James Hook), Jennifer (Raymond). As well as her grandchildren, Christopher, Codi, Samantha, Kira, Makenna and Kaeden. She will be fondly remembered by her extended family as well as many friends. Gail was always a champion for the less fortunate and always ready with a welcoming hug and a listening ear for her family, friends and the community at large. Service will take place on Thursday January 5th, at 11:00 am at St. John Vianney Church, 13 Baldwin Lane Barrie. Luncheon to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice Simcoe. Online condolences and memories may be forwarded through Peaceful Transition.

I have tried on many occasions to locate her, but we never connected. She was a huge influence in my life. Her leadership skills, conflict management and so much more. Above all, she was fun loving and loved her family. I have so many great memories of our times together. We had a hilarious weekend once taking a Murder Mystery train to Montreal. So much fun. We just found out of the passing of Gail….and we are very saddened to hear this.
Gail was a wonderful, caring person who always put others first. She was well loved by her “mom and dad” French, who spoke so highly of her. Unfortunately we cannot pay our respects in person as we have to attend another funeral service at the same time. Please know at our love nd prayers are with you all.
