Floyd passed away suddenly at home with Brenda by his side, on June 14th, 2023 at the age of 56.

Beloved fiancé to Brenda Bell, with whom he shared many wonderful years with. Loving father to Sarah Coutts and Elizabeth Mack, he took such pride in watching them grow into the strong, independent women they have become. He adored his grandchildren, Elena, Evelyn, Brian James, and Nathan, and cherished the moments they spent together. Floyd will be dearly missed by his sister Nancy Majerus, who will hold dear all the memories they cultivated over the years.

Floyd had a great passion for sports, particularly Nascar and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was a dedicated fan who eagerly followed their journeys and cheered them on with unwavering enthusiasm. He will be fondly remembered for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, unity, and an appreciation for the simple joys in life. Although his physical presence may be gone, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of his Life will take place on Sunday, August 13 at 1:00 pm at the residence of Brenda Bell - please contact Brenda directly for more details.

      Dad,
It’s taken me exactly 57 days to write this. I miss you so much, I’m so mad at the world for taking you away so soon. You were my best friend since day one. My biggest supporter and my biggest fan. Always cheering me on. I don’t know how to live in the world without you. But I’m going to try, one day at a time. I’ll think of you in every rainbow, every firework and every sun set. You did always make the world brighter.
      I love you always

      Binnie

To Brenda and all of Floyd’s loved ones

Your loss is shared by so many people outside of his family – we hope that helps comfort you.
It is never easy to understand why someone is taken so suddenly and unexpectedly – with no chance to say all the things we needed them to know. Although we are left to carry on without them we will always have the wonderful memories of them in our hearts, our homes and in our stories.

From the moment we heard the news – we could not help but smile as we remembered him, wondering if he and Terry were sharing a beer in heaven together. Cannot imagine otherwise – every Saturday at 1:00 pm. He was a very special friend to all of us and he will be missed.

    Sincerely,
    Dianne Purchon and Kevin Gilbert

I only recently learned of Floyd’s passing. I hadn’t ever met him in person, but had the pleasure of meeting him virtually a couple of times at an annual hockey pool draft. Floyd always managed to put a smile on my face (amongst others) with his jokes and wise cracks. He will no doubt be sorely missed. My condolences to his entire family and friends.
