Funeral Details: Private Family Arrangements

Ernestine Julie Rupprecht (nee Muller) entered this world on May 2, 1926.  She left this dimension for the next realm on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at 5:44 p.m.  She said she had one final appointment that she could not miss.  She wanted to live to be 100 years old, but recently announced to her daughter "I'm sorry, I have to leave you sooner than expected, I cannot miss my final appointment. I love you so much".

She loved her church, her congregation, her community.  She belonged to 3 choirs and loved to sing (English & German), it was her meditation and communion with God.
She loved to dance, and loved to laugh.  And this Couturier Designer loved colour, fabric, texture and clothes.  She could look at you and design a tailor-made outfit like magic.  Her hats, they competed each outfit and were worn in respect and reverence for God and life.

She spoke 5 languages and lived in Canada for 70 years.  Life in a foreign country, as an independent parent was challenging but working 3 jobs she still devoted herself to her two children and grand children.

She has passed on her tenacity, strength, courage, curiosity & joy for life to her daughter Jessy, and her grandchildren Ian & Laura Morrison, and Walter Lee.  She left when she knew we could now take care of ourselves.

Everyone said her smile was like a blessing, it was infectious; as was her joy of life.  Rest in peace Ernestine, we are grateful to have had you in our lives so long.

There will be a service with lots of colour and singing at Grace United Church.

Ashes will be taken back to her Family Crypt in Austria.

I feel grateful to have been introduced to you – as briefly as it was for you raised a beautiful daughter and assisted with grandchildren. Such a beautiful legacy to pass along. I know your family will miss you dearly but “heaven” is receiving I’m sure, from the stories, the best of the best. Thank you for assisting in the creation of such a beautiful energy to leave behind. You are a beacon of hope for those still completing the work we have promised to fulfill. Thank you for your work and family you leave behind to help us in our journey. I am blessed to know you all.

Good luck on your new journey, and may God continue to be with you and guide you along the way. What a beautiful ride and chapter to have left behind and a new one to look forward too. Sending you much love and light.

Over the nearly two decades that I have known Jessy and her family, I met Ernestine (Oma) on a number of occasions and was always captivated by her zest for life, her beautiful smile and her positive outlook. There was a special ‘something’ about her that stayed with you, long after you had waved goodbye. My heart goes out to Jessy, Laura and Ian and all those who are feeling the void of Oma’s absence and know that she is now singing in the heavenly choir and keeping close watch over her loved ones.
