Erika Stauffert (nee Rebs)
in her 92nd year peacefully joined her beloved husband, Dr. Hans Stauffert on April 2, 2017 at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, ON surrounded by her family.
Erika was born on June 9, 1925 in Stuggart, Germany and married Hans on June 7, 1947. They immigrated to Canada in 1950 and moved to Barrie in 1960 to raise their children and open a family based dental practice. Throughout their years together, they cherished family and friends and enjoyed many adventures including several bicycle trips across their native Germany. Their zest for life, support of family, and guidance will be deeply missed.
Erika is survived by her daughter Marion Elliott (Paul), two sons, Dr. Dean Stauffert (Angie) and Kurt Stauffert (Alison), two granddaughters Lindsey Elliott (Kristina) and Emily Jones (Greg), and her much loved great grandson Dane Elliott-Dyson.
In keeping with Erika’s wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to PEACEFUL TRANSITION INC. in Barrie at 1-705-739-0139.
