God Saw You

God saw you getting tired

When a cure was not to be.

So he wrapped His arms around you,

And whispered, “Come to me”.

You didn’t deserve what you went through,

So He gave you a rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful,

For He only takes the best.

And when I saw you sleeping,

So peaceful and free from pain,

I could not wish you back,

To suffer that again.

I was lucky enough to meet Liz as a child when Sara and I met at school. Over those times she welcomed me into her home on many occasions and treated me like one of her own. From the sleepovers at home, sleepovers at the cottage and everything in between, I have fond memories of Liz helping guide me in my early life. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Rest Easy Liz, we love you.

We are so very sorry to hear that Liz has passed. It seemed to me that she was at a point in her life where she was enjoying her work, her independence and seeing her children become independent and settled as well. She loved her grandchildren more than anything. She was taken far too young, but left knowing that she was surrounded with love and left knowing the joy of being a mother and grandmother to such a beautiful family.

When I hired Liz I knew she was the right person for the job. She was eager to learn and within a short period of time took full control of her position in the company. She made my life at work much more enjoyable and I will miss her companionship and laugh. She often spoke of her kids and grandchildren and I knew she loved being a mom and a grandmother most of all. My deepest condolences to the family, she will be deeply missed by everyone she touched in her life.

    Sincerely,

    Mark Pidgeon

Coleridge families. So sorry to hear of Elizabeth’s passing. I can remember Elizabeth visiting NL. when she was a very young girl with her Mom and Dad and later years when Elizabeth was a young woman. Always full of life and had that big smile. My sincere condolences to you all.

As my brother and cousins have stated in their condolence messages I also remember the summer visits to Newfoundland. I first recall meeting Elizabeth and other family members when I lived in Twillingate and there were other visits to “the Rock” over the years. On my moving to Ontario there were family events I attended.

I also remember Elizabeth’s nice smile and her happy and pleasant personality.

My condolences to her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters and their families.
