"Soft and safe be the earthly bed of our brother; bright and glorious be his rising from it" by Unknown
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Douglas Albert Whibley. He was 84 when he was reunited with our Mom Eleanor, in Heaven.
Doug was born in Weston, Ontario to parents Albert and Nora Whibley. He was the husband and best friend to the late Eleanor Frances Whibley (nee Bond). He will be greatly missed by his entire family: Daughter Charlene Childs and her husband Gary, son Todd Whibley and his wife Debbie, daughter Shelly Smitten and her husband Rick, and son Jason Whibley and his wife Lisa. The many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grandchildren - Laura, Nicole, Jessica, Jeffrey, Terry, Jason, Travis, Dale, Justine, Amanda. Partners – Neal, Rob, Kyle, Brooke, Kelsie, Antonella, Shawna, Christian, Alex. Great Grandchildren – Michaela, Liam, Owen, Colin, Luke, Darcy, Charlee, Paisley, Dylan, Grace, Massimo, Andi, Parker and most recently, Giacomo. He was the brother to Jamie Whibley and Donna Urquhart and survived by his sisters-in-law Carol Bond and Joan Whibley, brothers-in-law Ron Hamilton and Gary Urquhart and extended families.
A dreamer, a comedian, a lover of fishing, the Buffalo Bills, and the Mandarin, he was deeply loved by his family and friends. Our family truly appreciates everyone who have been by our sides during this incredibly difficult time.
