Diane Gertrude McDougall, age 84, passed away at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario, on January 1st, 2023.
Born August 9th, 1938, in Halifax, NS, she lived in various locations across central and eastern Canada and Germany as the wife of a Canadian Armed Forces member and worked in various jobs including driving a school bus, civilian employee of the Canadian Military, accounts receivables, and even part time work at Walmart before retiring in Barrie, ON.
Diane’s most important job was taking care of her family in her own special way. Survivors include her 3 boys who are Paul McDougall from Brampton, ON, Daniel McDougall from Barrie, ON, and Ron McDougall from Barrie, ON. Diane was preceded in death by her husband Robert McDougall.
There will be no services scheduled at this time. Diane’s wish was to have her remains buried beside those of her mother in Nova Scotia and plans will be forthcoming for a memorial ceremony in the Spring or Summer of 2023.
