I was shocked and so sad to learn of Derek’s passing. He was a good man with a heart of gold and will be missed. Love and strength to you all. He will live on in his sons. Xoxo

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Derek, so heartbreaking. He was such a kind soul, gone way too soon. Our deepest sympathies to all.

Ok here it goes publicly GO BRUINS GO for Derek, going to miss your laughter and big smile and the friendly banter when it came to our two teams.. He always would say to me so Ang who won last night eh? Yes they did over the blue and white and I’d say yes but your team is full of Canadian’s you will be forever lived and missed . Xoxo

i have very fond memories of the Moulton family…..very kind people……Derek and i shared some laughs while working at scholastic book fairs yrs ago along with David…….my sincere thoughts and prayers to the entire family…….love to all……rest easy Derek…..

The best Uncle I could have ever asked for, always calling to check in and keep in touch and keep me updated. I’ll miss you greatly Uncle, and my thoughts are with you Shane & Dylan, love you guys cousins.

My lovely adopted Grandsons. I know there is nothing I can do right now to ease the immense pain you are feeling with the lose of your father. Trust me though when I tell you from experience, that as time passes, the pain eases but there will always be a large hole in your heart. I believe our loved ones never leave use. You will know Dad’s near with a memory flash, a whisper in your ear or a light airy touch on your skin. Dad’s in a better place now. God watch over both with love.

I was shocked to hear about Derek’s fall and passing. Everything I read above from others is so true. I wish I had stayed in contact across these many years as it was a lifetime ago that I saw him last at his parents’ home in Richmond Hill. My deepest sympathies to his boys and his brother and sister.

I happened to learn of Derek’s passing quite by accident when “surfing” the internet. Derek’s mother Phyllis
was a bridesmaid at my wedding in 1969. We met when working at Eaton’s in the teletype department, & we’d meet most mornings at the restaurant for coffee & tea-biscuits. Bob would very often join us as well.
We lost touch over the years, & I moved from Toronto nearly 10 yrs ago. Surprisingly enough, I volunteer at
RVH where Derek passed.
