Funeral Details: A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday November 3 at the Oro Arena Banquet Hall (71 Line 4 North, Oro-Medonte) at 1:30pm.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Debbie Laycock (nee Gillespie) on Friday October 11, 2019, surrounded by her loved ones including her sister Joanne Wallace (Bill) and brother David Gillespie (Joanne). She was 64.
Married to Murray Laycock for the past 39 years, they spent much of their time with their grandchildren and going for drives experiencing new areas. Born in Oro, Debbie spent much of her adult life in Oro, Angus and Orillia. She had a passion for following her beliefs. Youngest daughter of the late Dorothy (LaVerdiere) and Leonard Gillespie.
Debbie leaves behind the loves of her life, her sons Ty (Chantal) and Greg (Sandy) Pollock and her grandchildren, Genevieve, Breanna, Tristyn, Brodie and Lacey.
Nieces and nephews including Eric Eacott (Christina), Crystal Wallace (Dan) and Kim Wallace (Gordon and Cooper Lavery), Nick, Jeff, Michelle and Lisa Gillespie and Chad and Shay Robinson will miss her dearly.
Thank you to friends/family Gail Robinson and Barbara, Cynthia and Richard Barnes, Sheila Finch and Sharon (Bob) Sage, Mary-Jo Leduc and Bob (Susan) Laycock for their love, support.
Debbie fought to the end and is now at peace. She loved her family and friends fiercely and she will be forever missed by those who knew her.
