Daphne May Watton (Wellington) passed away peacefully December 19th, 2023, at the age of 93.
Daphne and her husband Jim Watton were married for 44 years until his passing in 1995. Together they raised four sons, Bruce (Lee Ann), Michael (Ruth), Kevin (Debbie), and James (Teresa). Mom will be missed by all and poignantly by her 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Survived by her younger brother Dr. Jim Wellington.
For 45 years she was a member of the hospital auxiliary and in recognition of her exceptional commitment honoured with a Service Award; a testament to her enduring impact at the hospital and her unwavering dedication and compassion, touching the lives of many patients, staff and volunteers.
As a long-time member of the Barrie Golf and Country Club she enjoyed regular rounds of golf, curling and with those same gals, numerous hands of bridge while they could all keep track and properly see the cards.

Posted on: Thursday, August 8, 2024I find myself shedding tears having just learned of the passing of dear “Mrs. Watton”. My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire family.
Mr. and Mrs. Watton were second parents to me during a particularly troublesome time for my own family.
I will pray to them both and express my gratitude directly. I am confident that they are being wonderful, loving Angels overlooking their entire family. Love to all.
