Cyril Wilson White

May 24, 1955 - March 30, 2025

Funeral Details: A celebration of Cyril's life will be held at a later date in his home province of Newfoundland.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cyril Wilson White on March 30, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family. While we mourn his loss, we take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his parents, June and Wilson.

Cyril leaves behind his doting and cherished wife, Catherine, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and memories, both having been born and raised in Twillingate, Newfoundland. He was a proud and loving father to Candice (Jeremy) and a devoted, adoring, and fun-loving grandfather to Alexander and Arcadia—his greatest joys in life.

He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Ruth, Gary (Darlene), John (Angela), and predeceased by his brother-in-law Don. Cyril will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, Lynnette, Nicole, Toby, Robbie, Bradley, and Brent, and his extended family. Cyril’s absence will be felt by his dear friend, Eldred "Buck" Weddell, who held a special place in his heart.

Cyril had a passion for the outdoors, and classic rock. Those closest to Cyril knew him for his kindness and generosity. Cyril helped others without hesitation, not for recognition, but simply because it’s the thing to do. Whether a kind word, helping hand, or quiet acts of generosity, he made the world a better place offering what he could with a full heart and no expectations. Cyril’s legacy is one of love, selflessness, and unwavering compassion.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in his home province of Newfoundland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Foundation, or, in the spirit of Cyril, do a kind deed for a stranger and think of him.

“Forever in our hearts.”

In this sorrowful time, I would like to extend to Cyril’s family and loved ones my heartfelt condolences. I am deeply saddened by the news of your loss of a truly wonderful individual. One of my routines when I arrived at work is to go down to the floor where Cyril works, chatting with him, Eldred “Buck” Weddell, Paul and Al. From my conversations, I can see the tremendous love Cyril have for his family and loved ones. I heard from others what a kindly sole Cyril was, helping the less fortunate in life, like giving clothes, jacket, shoes and money to a homeless man that was sleeping in bank at night.
I am truly sorry to hear about the passing of Cyril. I will miss my daily conversations with him. God kindly watch over Cyril’s family and loved ones during these troubled times. Rest In Peace my friend.

Catherine and Candice, and everyone else who is apart of Cyril’s family.
I am very sorry for your loss.
Cyril was a colleague who later became a friend.
I worked with Cyril for over 20 years pretty much side by side for the whole time.
Many road trips across the country and in the province with many late nights at Tims sharing stories of our daughters and just life in general.
He was a very very kind person to anyone, didn’t matter if he knew who you were or not.
I have witnessed his kindness with my own eyes on a regular basis it never surprised me when he would come into work with the stories of the good deeds he did.
This man will be missed by many. If you were fortunate enough to be in his circle you could count on the fact that he had your back.
I truly mean it when i say he was one of a kind.
Cyril I will see you again…save me a seat at the Tims up there… 1 cream 1 sugar please, but you already knew that.
    RIP my friend.
