Funeral Details: A Celebration of life will be announced at a later date

Hickey, Catherine Mary:  It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Catherine Mary Hickey at the age of 80 years on Friday, December 23, 2022. She will always be remembered for her heart of gold, her faith, and her love of music and dancing. When she wasn’t going for a walk with her family she would be enjoying a cup of tea.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Loretta Henderson (Brian), David Power, and Darrell Power (predeceased); Her granddaughters: Julie Henderson (Keith), with whom she shared a very special bond, and Camryn Jones; Her great grandchildren whom she adored and knew her as Nanny, Mila and Ella Henderson. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters: Oscar, Art, Gerald, Levi, Gordon, Albert, Elsie, Betty, Therfina, Jen (predeceased), and Helen (predeceased); as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives and special friends in Ontario and back home in Newfoundland.

There will be no formal visitation or service at this time. To be announced at a later date.

Forever in our hearts; Until we meet again.

She was loved and she knew and felt it. She was cared for and thought of all the way to her last day and afterwards. I am so sad for the ones she left behind as the deeper they love, the harder it is now. She will live on through your memories Julie and Loretta. My sincere condolences.
