After a brief illness, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Catharine “Charlene” White in her 69th year. For over 30 years, as a mobility instructor with BALANCE for Blind Adults, she taught many to confidently and independently travel throughout Toronto.
Many enjoyed her great sense of humour, and her compassionate nature led her to support and advocate for those less fortunate, both human and animal alike. Reading, music, art and spending time in nature were just some of her passions.
Charlene will be deeply missed by her beloved best friend, Betty Mallory of Barrie, along with her dearest Nephew Shawn and Nicole White from Peterborough.
She is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Virginia White, and sibling Roger White of Peterborough. Her remaining siblings, Keith and Elwood White continue to live in Peterborough. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff at RVH in Barrie. A special thank you to the Palliative Care team.
