It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Arthur Carter, who passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025, at the age of 74.  Son of the late Arthur and Margaret Carter.  Brian was a devoted husband to Kim for 42 years, a loving father to Melissa (Chris) and Jesse, and a proud grandpa to Emma and Owen.  He was a cherished brother to Deborah (Kelly).  Brian will be deeply missed by many, including his friends and colleagues at Home Hardware.

A talented musician and drummer full of energy, Brian had a lifelong love for music. He also enjoyed cooking, always eager to try new and healthy recipes.  He took great pride in his home and in the community of Collingwood, where he lived.  As an Electrician for most of his career, he found great fulfillment in his work, later enjoying his time at Home Hardware during retirement.  Above all, Brian treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, and loved his daily walks with his beloved dog, Oscar.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Dornoch Restaurant (4203 Simcoe County Rd 124, Nottawa, Ontario).  Online condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.peacefultransition.ca.

Brian and I shared a whole bunch of “ hard luck “ musicians stories, but he always had a friendly hello and we laughed often. He’ll be keeping the tempo forever.
