Funeral Details:

SOWMAN, Bonnie Margaret Rose

October 17, 1941 to June 27, 2015

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Bonnie Sowman (nee Mckinnon) in her 74th year, peacefully in her sleep at the Hospital in Bracebridge.

Bonnie, beloved wife of the Late Archie Sowman, loving Mother to Ronald, and Margaret Bodri, and Step-mother to Marilyn Barnes and Marjorie Deveau. Dear Sister to Beryl deBeaupre and the late Ron and Jack Mckinnon. Dear Sister-in-law to Mary McKinnon and Dear Daughter of the late Gladys and William McKinnon.

She will be fondly remembered as an Aunt to Frank and Elizabeth, Jack Jr., Monica, Heather, Andy and Joel, Step Grandma to Jason and wife Audra, Kim, Tara and Miranda and Great Grandma to Johnathan, and life-long friend of Susan Dupras.

Bonnie was an avid Bridge Player, and lover of NASCAR and her Jeff Gordon #24. She was looking forward to going to see a live race this year before the season ended.

She selflessly gave her time in volunteering at the Bracebridge hospital for many years, and was such a worrier for all her family and friends.

All those who knew Bonnie are left with wonderful memories of a Great Wife, Mother, Sister, Sister-in-Law, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend.

Interment to take place at St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery at the Niches, 741 Manitoba St. in Bracebridge on July 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm followed by a Remembrance gathering at the Salvation Army across the street from the cemetery.

Donations may be made in Bonnie’s memory to the Salvation Army www.salvationarmy.ca or any local animal shelter.

Bonnie was always the first to send Christmas greetings so when her phone was discontinued I checked here. We are very sorry for your loss. She was such a welcoming person. Al and Jan
