Barry Wayne Sweeney

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Barry on November 15, 2022 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, ON in his 71^st year.  Best friend to Greg Lee of Barrie, ON.  Beloved father of Chearie Bettinelli of Barrie, ON, Shawn Sweeney of Guelph, ON, and Lyndsay Sweeney-Ward of Bright, ON.  Cherished grandfather of Dallas, Hunter, Cailyn, James, and Aiden.  Survived by his siblings Brian Sweeney of Barrie, ON, Linda Sallans of Barrie, ON, Beverley Murray of Angus, ON, Norma Jean Swackhammer of Langley, BC, Jim Sweeney of Trent River, ON, Dale Sweeney of Miramichi, NB, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Predeceased by his parents, Irene and Norman Sweeney, brothers Norman Sweeney and Edward Sweeney.  Also predeceased by his wife Cathy Sweeney-Rossi, and wife Andree Lortie Hurd-Sweeney.  In keeping with Barry’s wishes, cremation will be taking place.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Online memories and condolences may be made at www.peacefultransition.ca
