Posted on: Thursday, January 24, 2019My Dad (Roland Parker) and his sister (Aunt Barb) remained close all their lives. I’ll always remember our families getting together for Christmases, summer picnics, and visiting the Morrow cottages at Lake Cecebe. Aunt Barb was kind and funny, even tempered and always easy to talk to. I learned some funny stories about my Dad from her too.
I will miss Aunt Barb and will always treasure my many memories of her. Rest in peace, dear aunt.

Posted on: Friday, January 25, 2019Aunt Barb looked after me when I was very young to help out my family. She was always so caring, taking in other babies who also needed help. I think of Aunt Barb as the matriarch of her family. I think it started in childhood. My Dad, her brother and only a year younger, has many stories of their growing up together in which she played the lead in the mischief they got up to. As the oldest I guess that’s not unusual. I will miss her smile, her laugh, and even the Parker sibling “discussions”. Be at peace Aunt Barb.

Posted on: Saturday, January 26, 2019I feel blessed to be part of such a large, loving family. (Great) Aunt Barb was the most caring, loving individual. She loved her family and she loved spending time at the cottage swimming, lounging and eating with friends and family alike. Things have been feeling a lot emptier at the cottage since Grandma and Grandpa (Doreen & Charles Morrow), and Uncle Bill and now Aunt Barb have passed on. Though we will always feel the presence of their great love in the walls and sand and water and hear their voices in the air when the wind blows through the trees. I will always think of you in the early mornings watching the morning fog roll off the lake. Be in peace Aunt Barb.

Posted on: Friday, February 1, 2019So sorry to hear about Aunt Barb’s passing. She was what used to be called a “grand lady”, managing a large family both very capably and, more important, with great affection.
Aunt Barb was an exceptionally good-hearted person. I enjoyed her down-to-earth personality and direct way of speaking. She was kind and easy to talk to. I have happy memories of visiting Aunt Barb and Uncle Bill when I was a child. She was so good at so many things…she made my wedding dress, I’ll never forget all the delicate work she put into it.
Good bye, Aunt Barb, you will be missed.
love, Janny

Posted on: Sunday, February 3, 2019My siblings and I are sad to hear the news about our cousin Barbara. She was a great friend to our mother Laura and always took an interest in what the Holland family was up to over the years. She had a wonderful long life full of love. Although she has now joined our ancestors memories of her will keep her alive in the minds of those who loved her. Unfortunately weather will keep us away from the service in Barrie but you are in our thoughts and prayers.
