Audrey Madoline Turner

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Audrey Madoline Turner of Stroud (Innisfil ) in her 96th year. Audrey was the daughter of the late John E. Turner and late Beatrice Meagher, predeceased by her sister Shirley Ann and brother John W. Turner. She is survived by her 3 children Larry Stillar (Stephanie), De Maris Stillar and Alana Ellis Boyd and predeceased by son Freddy Ellis (Inga). She has 7 grandchildren Mark, Marina, Wayne, Paul, Tiernan, Miranda and Charlena. She has 9 Great grandchildren Morgan, Elizabeth, Keifer, Keeley, Kyla, Kaydan, Kameron, Kaitlynn and Alise.
Audrey was a very creative person and liked working with her hands knitting, crocheting, quilting, and tatting. She loved to garden vegetables and flowers. She enjoyed animals always having a cat but also loved horses and piglets. After her retirement she lived in Florida for 6 months every year until she reached 80, enjoying many quilting friends and warm weather. She was a fantastic ball room dancer and being a wonderful seamstress she was dressed with the best at all times.
She worked at Toronto City Hall in the Registry Office and became the first woman Deputy Registrar and Plan Examiner for the city of Toronto in 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s.
A Private family funeral has been arranged with interment at Westminster Gardens in Toronto. She will be with her Sister, Father and Mother.
