With heavy hearts, the family announce the passing of Audrey Joyce Ereth (née Dueck) on January 29, 2025, at the age of 60. She passed peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie, ON, surrounded by family, after a sudden decline in health due to pancreatic cancer.

Beloved mother of Tessia Ereth, Joelle (Andrew) McKay, and Laura (Jason) Bracey. Proud Nana of Logan and Charlie. Dear sister of Gloria (Larry) Rempel, Darlene (Blaine) Hilland, John (Velvet) Dueck, Richard Dueck, Barbara (Chris) Dumontet, and Brenda Carson. Audrey is predeceased by her parents, Olga (née Wiebe) and Leslie Dueck, her brothers Randy (Donna) and Brian (Grace) Dueck, and her nephew Brock Hilland.

Born in Steinbach, Manitoba, Audrey made her home in Barrie, Ontario. She was a genuinely kind soul who always saw the best in everyone. Her love for crafting, gift-giving, and the joy of Christmas brought warmth to those around her. As a single mother, she took immense pride in her daughters and cherished her role as Nana, seizing every opportunity to spend time with and spoil her two adoring grandchildren. Her love knew no bounds, and she showed everyone in her life the depths of her heart. The world would be a better place if we could see ourselves through Audrey’s eyes.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 8, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at Columbus Hall (93 Berczy St., Barrie). In lieu of flowers, donations to Pancreatic Cancer Canada in Audrey’s memory are appreciated.

I am so sorry Audrey’s time here was over so quickly. Working together at Brian and Grace’s wedding, a very long time ago, was a lot of fun. Audrey always had a big, beautiful smile on her face. Even though it has been many years since I connected with her, I can’t imagine that smile ever diming especially with her wonderful daughters and grandkids.
May God be with you, comfort you and hold you up one day at a time.

Condolences to Audrey’s family and many friends. I had the privilege of working with Audrey at NCS for many years. She was the best, always there with a smile to help me with whatever I needed We had many laughs and good times over the years. We lost touch with the closing of NCS and my move to the East Coast. She loved her family dearly and could not talk enough about her Grandson! RIP Audrey!

Sending my condolences to Audrey’s beautiful girls, 2 precious grandchildren. She spoke so lovingly of you. I worked just a very short time with Audrey but her impact was so big. Her voice, her way, her sense of humour were such a gift. I will miss your high “C” and wish our time wasn’t cut so short. Praying fond memories to keep the Ereth family in times to come.

Dear Tessia, I am so very sorry to hear this extremely sad news. Angela and I and you and your Mom had some fun times together. I will always remember those times with much love.

I would have come to The Celebration of Life but I had to go out of town the same day for a High School friend of mine. A similar story to your Mom. Diagnosed Dec 11 and passed Jan 13. Also, pancreatic cancer.

I am truly very sorry that you lost your Mom at such a young age. 🙏🙏🙏
I am sending lots of love to you and your family. ❤️
    I’m thinking of you. 🙏
