Posted on: Monday, September 19, 2022I am very saddened by the news of Wayne’s passing. Wayne and I were best buds back when we were kids. We were always together….whether we were playing road hockey, going on long bike rides with our friends, going to movies, playing baseball & football…heck you name it, we did it.
I still remember the first day I met Wayne….my brothers and I were playing pirates in our backyard and along comes Wayne and introduces himself to us….I asked him if we wanted to join our pirate gang and from that day on we were best friends for life! We both shared an appreciation for photography and doing special effects…..we were so proud when our teacher Mr. Roberts at Meadowbrook Public School put up our ufo pictures on the sideboard of the classroom to display to all the students. We also loved getting together and watching the Saturday night hockey games back in the day. Wayne, my friend, you will be sorely missed by many friends and family, but no one will miss you more than I.
To Faye and family, and to you Don, his brother, my sincerest condolences. RIP “Lightning”
Your bud, John
