Funeral Details: Private Family Farewell

Forbes, Alexander McKinnon:

Acknowledging with heartfelt sadness, the passing of Alexander McKinnon Forbes at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on July 10, 2023, with this son, Michael, by his side after a short illness. Beloved by his cherished parents Alexander Mackay Forbes Q.C. and Margaret Innis (nee McKinnon) of Orillia.  Alexander found profound happiness in the company of his late wife, Patricia Anne Forbes (nee Bellamy), with whom he shared over 45 years of companionship. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by his devoted son, Michael Alexander Forbes, sister Jeanne Mackay Forbes, and brother Douglas Donald Forbes. In his youth, Alexander found passion in football during his time at Orillia District Collegiate & Vocational Institute, where he played an essential role in securing an undefeated season, leading to victory in the Georgian Bay Secondary School Association Football Championship. He went on to serve as an Officer in the Toronto Police Service for a significant tenure. Retirement brought him the joy of spending time with his family and their adored pets, Maggie, Marvin and Maddie, at their Newmarket home and Port Bolster cottage. Pursuant to Alexander's request, no service will be held, and cremation has been respectfully carried out. Arrangements entrusted to Peaceful Transition York (2-15236 Yonge Street, Aurora) and expressions of sympathy may be forwarded through www.peacefultransition.ca

“May his soul rest in eternal peace."
