Passed away peacefully at the age of 98 years on November 9, 2020 in Barrie, Ontario after a lengthy illness. Born in East Keswick, England in 1922, Alan was a World War 2 veteran where he served as a radio operator with the British Royal Air Force. He came to Canada in 1946, and married Lenora Maughan (died 1996). He is survived by their 2 children, Graham (Chris), and Jennifer (Bruce) along with 2 grandsons, Alan and Greg, and 2 great grandsons, Edwin and Henry. Alan was also predeceased by his loving companion of many years Helen Turner. Alan will be missed by many friends, along with his dear and cherished friend Evelyn Aitchison. A Celebration of Life for Alan will take place at a future date. The family wishes to thank the staff at Victoria Village Manor for their loving care.
