Adam Albert Cooper, beloved only child of Ruth & Greg Cooper, adored husband of Sonya, died suddenly on Friday September 4 at the age of 29.
Born in Barrie, Adam spent his childhood growing up in the village of Thornton, before heading to Toronto five years ago to experience city life. He was a student at Cookstown Central Public School, Bear Creek Secondary School and Georgian College.
Adam loved to read, and could often be found in his room with a book, rather than watching TV. He had a love of history, military and photography. He was a member of Scouts Canada and found his love of nature, fishing, camping and canoeing through scouting.
His humour and generous spirit will be missed by many friends and family.
A family remembrance will be held at a later date.
If desired, donations to Youth Haven (Barrie) or David Busby Centre (Barrie), or charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Posted on: Friday, September 11, 2020Dear Ruth and Greg,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Adam. He was a great childhood friend to my brother, Andy. I remember spending many summer days swimming with my brothers and Adam in your backyard pool. I also remember him enjoying a fun week with our family in the great outdoors when he came to a cottage my family had rented for the week. I also remember Adam spending much of his time there reading (rather than watching TV) and fishing. I will always remember Adam’s great sense of humour, as he was always making everyone in our family laugh.

Posted on: Saturday, November 14, 2020Dear Ruth and Greg, we are so very sorry to hear about Adam, about your loss. We were shocked to hear the news and I know that Maxwell is grieving the loss of a kindred spirit. Adam and Maxwell connected so easily at such a young age and had many an adventure together in the sandbox in the back yard, on bikes around town, in the pool and at cubs. We will never forget his bright smile and his warm heart. We can only but imagine what you and your families are going through at this time. We are sending you love and warmth for the journey. He is with us all in our hearts.
With love, Heather and Bill
