On October 31, 2024, in the care of Hospice Simcoe, Scott rolled his final saving throw and, true to his nature, left us with one last unforgettable tale.
A lover of stories, swords, and a well-crafted Dungeons & Dragons campaign, Scott lived life as if it were a legendary quest. From his love of literature and his Scottish heritage to his witty one-liners and knack for making everyone feel like they were part of his story, Scott’s impact was immeasurable.
Predeceased by his parents Phil and Kim, he leaves behind his sister Tara, extended family and friends, and fellow adventurers who will miss his laughter, wisdom, and impeccable timing.
Scott could turn even an ordinary day into a legendary saga, and his memory will live on in the countless stories he inspired. As he embarks on this next great adventure, we imagine him somewhere grand—a realm where dragons are real, history unfolds in real-time, and there's always a good story to be told.
In keeping with Scott's wishes, a private Celebration of his Life will be held for family members and close friends. If desired, donations in memory of Scott can be made to Hospice Simcoe ( https://hospicesimcoe.ca/ ) or a charity of your choice.
Rest easy, Scott. You’ll be deeply missed and always remembered.

Posted on: Wednesday, November 6, 2024I’m so grateful for the friendship I share with Scott. Few people hold the essence of the inner child and remind us of the importance of living a life of joy like he did. I’m sending light and love to every person who loved him. I always like to remember that energy doesn’t dissipate, it only changes form, so when we lose a loved one, they’re off doing something else we may not understand, but I trust it’s important and they’re with us somehow.
