Peacefully passed on November 1, 2024, at the age of 75. He was the beloved husband of Patricia “Pat” Dwyer (nee Ogilvie) for 44 cherished years. Graham is survived by his brother Richard (Dick) Dwyer of North Bay, and his nephews Gary Dwyer of Ottawa and Brian Dwyer of North Bay. Also survived by his brother-in-law Walter Ogilive (Joan), sister-in-law Isabel Marks (husband Gary predeceased) and sister-in-law Brenda Greenlaw (husband Larry predeceased). Lifelong friends Jack Perry, Bruce and Kathyrn Woodman, Marion and Victor Burns, and Deb Harper.
Graham was known for his fun-loving spirit, a ready sense of humor, and a knack for pranks that brought laughter to those around him. He enjoyed listening to music. And as a true music enthusiast, he and his wife took up piano lessons at the age of 40, embracing the challenge together and challenge it was. An animal lover at heart, Graham adored his dogs, especially his golden retrievers—Riley, Gracie, and Gus. He missed them dearly, and we hope they are joyfully reunited, bringing him laughter, peace and comfort.
In accordance with Graham’s wishes, a private cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to share their memories and condolences online at www.peacefultransition.ca.

Posted on: Wednesday, November 6, 2024Oh Pat, it was a phone call that saddened us to the core. The health struggles endured over the years were immense, but could never be eclipsed by the devotion you both had to one another. His calls when he was worried about you were many, and a clear indicator of his love.
We miss that caring, witty, linguistic, snarly, laughing guy, but the memories that go with all that he was will never be gone. When an ‘older’ guy can continually bring laughs and smiles to a couple of preteens is testament to his caring personality, even when ‘Precious’ got on his nerves. It was wonderful to see that relationship carry into their adulthood.
You are so right Pat, the musical challenges! Sunday mornings, especially in the summer with the windows wide open for all to hear, was the perfect time for Graham to sit at his piano and play (aptly named) ‘The Entertainer’ from The Sting beautifully, til one teeny tiny part where his fingers eluded him. That was in the early 90’s. Did he ever get it? It certainly brought a smile to our faces, and still does.
We moved away from you, but our true friendship never wavered. Coming down to hold my hand during chemo treatments, and managing to get a gross of purple candles to us during the horrendous Ice Storm of 98 in Eastern Ontario were clear indicators.
We will miss him, we will mourn him, but we will never, ever forget the memories and who Graham was. Rest easy my friend.
