It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Kelly at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie, Ontario, on October 8, 2024, at the age of 75. Mary is survived by her devoted husband, Ed; her loving daughters, Leah and Sarah (Lon); and her cherished grandchildren, Skyler and Byron. She will also be missed by her siblings Evelyn, John, and Jean (Jim). She is predeceased by her parents, Larry and Hazel, her brothers William and Calvert, and her brother-in-law, Ken.

Mary grew up in Barrie, where she spent most of her life. Her love for adventure took her across the country, with brief stays in Calgary and Vancouver. A proud and active member of the Harley Owners Group, Mary was passionate about riding, often taking to the open road with Ed on their beloved motorcycle.

Her enthusiasm for genealogy and ancestry led her on countless journeys into her family’s past, tracing roots and discovering connections across generations.

A Celebration of Mary’s Life will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Traditions Banquet Hall at Sheba Shrine (142 John St, Barrie, ON)

    I am so so sorry for the passing of Mary, but she now has her full memory back and is reunited with her parents and siblings went before her to make room at their table.
