Jason “Jay” Norman Sawyer

May 26, 1976 - August 31, 2024

Funeral Details: A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date

Passed away suddenly on August 31, 2024 at the age of 48 years.  Much loved son of Keith and Joan.  Beloved husband of Lesleigh for 23 years.  Loving father of Emaleigh (Cameron), Madison, Hannah, and Jason Jr. “J.J.”.  Papa to Ryder, Davey, and baby on the way, Elleigh.  He will be missed also by his brothers, and sisters, especially by Calvin; and by many nieces, nephews, friend, and his four-legged girlfriend Nellie.

Jay loved sports, adventure, and had a competitive spirit.  He was outgoing and knew everyone in town, never forgetting a person he had met.  Jay was generous, always the first to help someone in need, and lived his life with love and passion.  He embraced every moment to the fullest, and while he was the life of the party, he carried his joy with humility.  His warmth, energy, and kindness will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.  Online memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.peacefultransition.ca

Honestly the foster family was a scary endeavour. “Jay lo” was always there supporting me into the chaos. Always had a contagious smile on his face. Went out of his way to talk to my children every time he saw them. It was absolutely heart breaking hearing you had passed, know we love you so much and will stand strong to support your family.

This tragedy brought such sadness to our family! We’ve known the Sawyer’s for 12 years and our kids have all become good friends over the years. Every time I would see Jay in town he always stopped to talk and see how we were keeping up. His smile and laugh were infectious. A true good soul that will be missed by so many! Fly high Jay and bat out those home runs in heaven! Lots of love to the sawyers and anyone who loves them ❤️
