Bob Cude passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on February 24, 2024 at the age of 80 years.
Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret, his kids Rae-Anne and Michael (Donna), and was the best Pappi to Kalleen, Sammi, Wesley, Michael and Grant. He was predeceased by his parents Bob and Kay, and his little sister Kathy. He will be missed by so many special friends including: Paul, Jen, Steve, and Shirley.
To know Bob was to love and laugh with him! The old fart loved spending time on the golf course, at the stock car races, and he wasn't often late for dinner!
Born in Toronto to Bob and Kay Cude, much of Bob and his sister's youth was spent at the family cottage in Alcona, where he later settled with Margaret, Rae-Anne and Michael. As a kid, Bob was a champion bowler, throwing strikes all day, and his mom was willing to let anyone who would listen know. Through his youth he was a left-handed defenceman on the ice, and later on became a right-handed golfer. Last golf season, in his 81st year, he shot an 81 -- way to go Pappi! Bob's career began building high rises in downtown Toronto, and in the seventies, Bob Cude Plumbing was born and that was when Bob began a long and successful entrepreneurial career building bathrooms and laundry rooms of his customer's dreams. Bob loved old cars and was truly happiest with a wrench in hand getting things rolling again whether that had been a classic car, or in the pit crew at the stock car races.
In their 59 years together, Bob and Margaret enjoyed countless golf games, trips to Florida and time with those they loved.
Bob knew where the best arena hot dogs in Simcoe County were as a result of the hours spent watching Michael play hockey, and Rae-Anne figure skate. He was a proud father, and later became a proud Pappi! Kalleen, Sammi, Wesley, Michael and Grant were so lucky to get the best back tickles and car advice from their Pappi.
During his 80 and a half years, Bob touched the lives of so many -- he was one of the good ones and will be missed by anyone who was lucky enough to know him.
The Cude family would like to thank those at South Lake Hospital and Hospice Simcoe for their care over the past months.
In lieu of flowers, Bob’s family would appreciate donations be made on his behalf to Hospice Simcoe.

Andy and I are so sorry about your loss.
Bob was a wonderful man and we both enjoyed having you as our neighbours. When you left Arthur Place a big piece went missing.
Please take care of each other the way Bob obviously took care of all of you.
It was a pleasure to have met him and we truly enjoyed having you as our neighbours

Posted on: Friday, March 8, 2024My deepest condolences to Margaret, Rae-Anne, Michael and families for the loss of your beloved husband, father and pappi.
Kathy and I thoroughly enjoyed our times with Bob and Marg at their Alcona home where they were always welcoming. We often fondly remembered many good laughs and some great home cooked meals. Kathy frequently lamented due to her declining health not being able to travel back to Ontario for one last visit to see her big brother Bob. She was overjoyed that they were able to visit us here in the BC mountains the previous year and talked about it often. I cannot forget, and I am forever grateful to Bob for his quick reaction and that emergency race to the Barrie hospital after the chainsaw accident some 50 years ago.
He will be missed. Love, John.
