It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our Dad, William (Bill) Patterson on December 31, 2023 at the age of 86. Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife Maureen in 2009.
Bill is survived by his daughters Lynn Moffatt (Alan), Kelli Fenton (Paul) and Jill Hyland (Mike). Grampa Bill will be remembered by Ryan, Kelsie, Meghen, Alex (Laura), Liam and Dylan. Bill was very proud to be Great Grampa to Ira and Rooney. Bill will be dearly missed by his brothers Jim (Kathleen) and Terry of Orillia and additional family and friends in Northern Ireland, England and New Zealand.
Bill, his parents and brothers moved to Canada from Northern Ireland in search of a better life. He and Maureen certainly accomplished that, settling first in Ajax, relocating their girls to Orillia and later retiring in Barrie. Bill loved golfing and travelling to warmer climates in the winter months. He enjoyed his “last” trip home to Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland at least 3 times!
Bill’s girls would like to thank IOOF in Barrie, specifically the Nurses and PSWs on Allendale Village for the care provided to their Dad.
Our Dad was a man of few words. His pride and care he had for family was reflected in his actions during the time spent together.
We love and will miss you Daddio.
