Heather and I worked together in Windsor back in the 1970’s and I got to know Jem as her partner, and as part of our workplace bowling league. The man could throw strikes! They were the coolest couple, drove an old Mercedes decades before they became ” the rage”. Kindness, and an outrageous sense of humour is what I remember most about Jem. He could captivate a room with his stories without you ever feeling like it was too much. I was eventually lucky enough later in my career to hire his daughter Carley …and saw echoes of both Heather and Jem in her. Making your mark and leaving the world better for you having been here is what we hope for…and that Jem did.
