With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Rob Johnston. He passed away peacefully in the afternoon of September 29, 2023 due to complications related to cancer. Rob’s endearing memory will forever live on in the hearts of his sons Daniel, Matthew and Michael.
Rob's passion for music was a defining part of his life. He was not only a talented piano tuner but also an accomplished musician. His love for music was infectious, and he shared that passion with his sons, creating memories around the piano.
One of Rob's most remarkable qualities was his unwavering optimism. In the face of life's trials, he remained steadfast and never once uttered a complaint. His positivity was infectious. He was also known for his incredible kindness and generosity. Rob went above and beyond to help others, which was a testament to his remarkable spirit.
A memorial to celebrate Rob's life will be held on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023 from 3-5 PM at Tyndall Park in Barrie, Ontario. It will be a casual, drop-in gathering. We invite all who knew and loved him to join us in honoring a man who filled our lives with music and positivity.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Rob's memory, carrying on his legacy of kindness.
While we mourn the loss of Rob Johnston, we also celebrate the incredible life he lived. His legacy of love, music, and optimism will continue to inspire and uplift us all.”
